It depends on what State you are visiting in the US. Some States legal drinking age is 18 while others have a legal drinking age of 21.

No. Legal age is 21 in the USA. People are expected to obey the laws of whatever country they are in. So, 18 yr. old from USA should go to Australia if they want to legally drink.

You have to follow the "law of the land." Meaning as soon as you set foot on American soil you are expected to obey Local and Federal laws. If you break a law and happen to get caught, you will go through their court system like everyone else who is on "their" soil.
The only time your going to a Club is when there having a 21 and Under night. Still no booze for you, 'caus alcoholics have feelings too!
