$0.00 if you're using genuine diesel fuel, aka vegatable oil.

The Inland Revenue suggests a standard rate of 40p per mile for all cars, regardless of engine type. This takes into account depreciation, insurance, wear-and-tear and servicing, as well as fuel costs. This is what most UK companies pay for company use of a private car, so whoever you are claiming against is likely to accept it as reasonable.

Without knowing exactly what car you have, how efficiently you drive, how much load you were carrying (people and luggage) and what the driving conditions were (traffic, speeds, weather) it isn't possible to estimate the actual fuel cost per mile for the trip you made and wish to claim for.

Depends on the car and how you drive it. Most diesels will return at least 50 mpg so at an average of 97p per litre (£4.36 per gallon) that works out at around 9p per mile (approx).

It all depends on the engine size of the car.

I would say on average about 30p per mile.(could be more or less depends on insurance/maitenance and deisel cost)

To be accurate you need to fill your car and check the mileage used fromn the last time you filled up.
Say you done 200 miles with 21 litres ( 4.6 gallons) for £20.37(.97p/ltr)
So 200 miles divide by £20.37 = 9.8p/mile
Plus Insurance + maintenace cost say 20p/mile

9.8p+20p = 29.8p/mile

You don't mention what car you're talking about, but here's some illustrated info about fuel costs : http://www.rac.co.uk/web/knowhow/owning_a_car/running_costs/fuel_calculator

However, fuels costs alone are only a part of the actual cost of running a vehicle. This might be helpful too :

in UK, mostly around 8-12 p per mile for petrol only.
but it greatly depends on what you drive and how you drive.. a suv would be touching 12p whereas a normal hatch would be around 8

Try this AA link which analyses all the costs involved - you will need to know your engine size as previously mentioned.
