Good answers to a good question! It's been debated in serious forums for a looong time. However, as a caucasian man whose ancestors came to this country before the revolutionary war and have never owned slaves, I must respond to the ignorant comments of "Worldwise 1" who stated the following: - "White people don't need this because they have always been a majority-and they have not been treated unfairly and made to slave in any man's fields." She has obviously never been enlightened as to the history of the Irish (in America or in Ireland). Or to the Poles. Or the Jews. Or the Slavs. You get the picture. It is my opinion that every group of people has been enslaved or treated unfairly at some point in history. And let's not even get started with religious persecution! My point is; that was then, this is now. Slavery has been long since abolished and good riddance. Bring your thinking into this century. Stop dwelling on the sins of the past.

Creating an NAAWP wouldn't be racist unless it was a group that was intollorent or hateful of other races. If you look back to the reason why the NAACP was created in the first place, you'd know that it was to help the overwhelming minority of colored people in the U.S. who were being enslaved and subjugated to civil pain and suffering for decades. There are human rights groups for people of all races.
The name calling senario is a subjective issue. If yelled "I've got a bomb" at my family picnic, poeple might laugh at me. But if yelled that word in an airport, there's a good change I'd get shot. Craker, whitie and honkey are terms that are not nearly as derogatory as the N-word, because of its derivation. This is common sense.
I hope I didn't waste my time answering this question seriously. Quit hating.

What you need to understand is that people aren't equal. That's right, people AREN'T equal. We all have different histories which effect our current actions and the intentions behind those actions. The "N-word" and "cracker" are both racial terms, but that does not make the words equal. The "N-word" was used as a tool to perpetuate the oppression of black people, the same cannot be said of the word "cracker". Yes, "cracker" is insulting, but it's not oppressive and used to bring a whole group of people down. The fact that a term is racial does not make it insulting, it's the history and intention behind a word that can make a word offensive. "Cracker" was a response to the "N-word". Because that's the main origin of the word the CURRENT use of the word carries the same effect: a reaction to racism. The same goes with the "N-word" and we all know (or I hope we all know) the origins of that word. When a white person uses the "N-word" they are doing it out of racism since that's the impact the word has always carried. Think of it this way, racism (as well as sexism and etc) is a cycle that is passed on from person to person (usually family), right? The same can be said about words and intentions. If the "N-word" has been passed down from generation to generation as a word that represents supremacy then the intentions behind current users of the word are clearly racist. If the word "cracker" has been passed down as a reaction to racism then the current users of the word are using it in a sense that is reactionary rather than racist.
The same really goes for all your other examples. There's a difference between racism and a reaction to racism. I think if people, such as yourself, truly saw how our history currently effects our thoughts, intentions and actions I think you would be able to understand this better (and I don't mean that as insulting since I've felt the same way as you before).
Also, this same logic should be applied to the "B-word", "whore", "ho" and any other oppressive word.

Your feelings come through loud and clear! You are a dyed-in-the-wool, card-carrying racist. The NAACP was started to help the black people because of the injustice that has been heaped upon them since being forcibly brought to this country to slave in the white master's fields. Black people are a minority. That is why they have special programs set up to give them some much needed help. White people don't need this because they have always been a majority-and they have not been treated unfairly and made to slave in any man's fields. You are probably not good enough to shine the shoes of either Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

These are great points. I was watching the movie "BEEF" on BETV this weekend and there was a part that made me fall off the couch in dismay.
Years ago Farakhan and some of the hip-hop community had a summit to ease tensions between rappers, following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Biggie. In said summit, Farakhan STRAIGHT OUT blamed the beefs in hip-hop on Whites. His reasoning: old white slave owners used to keep their slaves fighting against one another all the time as a form of preoccupation to what was really going on...SAY WHAT?
So if Ja Rule and 50 Cent have a beef and want to kill each other - that is a white man's fault?
All your points are valid man - I personally am sick of being blamed for all the problems another race has. My family has only been in this country for 90 years - we didn't own slaves, and Irish immigrants got sh*t on their fair share too, trust me.
People need to be held responsible for their own actions period and equality needs to apply to everyone.

i agree 100%. Although I don't believe its a serious movement, there is a NAAWP, lol. It was founded by David Duke, the grand wizard of the KKK. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Association_for_the_Advancement_of_White_People
Heres a prime example. The Michael Vick ordeal. The NAACP said that "whites are being racist and they are insisting on Michael Vick being taken out of the NFL because hes black and hes better than the whites at football"...Bullshit..

The NAACP is racist -- but it's goal is to promote one race until that race achieves equality with the "dominant" white race. It doesn't seek to make any other race subservient.
Same with the UNCF -- it promotes opportunities to one group of people. But there are plenty of other scholarship programs that are "white only" -- they just aren't blatant about it.
There's nothing with with white power -- as long as it's not white power OVER others. But historically, there is very little need to protect Caucasians in the US from being oppressed by other races, so there is no need for organizations like the NAACP to "level the field".
That doesn't stop them from being racist -- meaning, dedicated to one race -- it just makes them non-oppressive the same some other racist organizations (like the KKK) are.

Its magnificent how human beings can lump a team of beings into one type based on the movements of a few. There had to have been indications that the only black woman you dated some time past whilst grew to become into precisely what you theory she could be; by way of fact i'm fairly confident she grew to become into the comparable person merely before you relationship her that she grew to become into on an identical time as you the place in a courting together with her. yet besides, with that being reported. there's no longer something incorrect with having a call to your suited mate. Hell, all of us do. in case you do in comparison to black ladies, superb you merely do in comparison to black ladies. by way of fact i'm fairly confident there are black ladies obtainable who do no longer' such as you (each physique has their critiques). yet i think of your substantial subject for no longer relationship this "chum" is predicated total heartedly on the fact that she's black and you're reflecting on your previous reviews with a black woman. by way of fact if it wasn't incredibly that important of a controversy, you does not have made confident to point (various cases) how lots of a 'enable down' the final black woman chum you had grew to become into. for my area (while you're as cool with this new woman as you assert you're) you're able to desire to be cheating your self out of attending to comprehend and develop close to to an extremely grate woman based on the colour of her pores and skin. it is obvious that she's in comparison to all different black woman; by way of fact if she grew to become into I doubt which you're able to have something to do together with her. yet, on the grounds which you're searching for affirmation from the final public of the customers in right here to reassure your self which you at the instant are not being racist or a 'stereotypical closed minded person', i will inform you to your guy or woman convenience that no......you at the instant are not a racist......you're merely judgmental ;)
