Why not, I wrote a novel about 10 years ago that was published in Outlaw Biker magazine in a serial form. I made a whole $1500.00 from it and at least I know that I can do it.
I built a shelf a couple of years ago with some scrap lumber from an old pallet and didn't fall apart. Hey, if you feel creative, just jump in there and do it.

It's pretty darn hard to make a living as a writer, so if you're going to choose it as a career, it had better be because you love it to much not to do it.

On the other hand, with a little self-discipline, it's easy to make it a second career while you work a day job that keeps you from starving while you try to make your big break.

In your spare time you could write novels or short stories whatever you like writing, and then you could send them off to Internet sites, magazines or publishers to see what reception they get.

You can try to write things and submit them to different sources on the Net. If people respond to it - that means you're good.
