Do you watch infomercials on TV?
Okay, well they are giving you a demonstration as to what the product does and at the same time they are lecturing about it. I bet you never thought about it that way.
So, lets say your science subject is about rocks, yes that's what i said rocks.
Okay, now go outside and look on the ground and pick up a rock or two. This is Geology. Go back to your computer and key in the word: Rocks or Geology.
This will give you basic info about rocks and what kinds there are and where they come from. Such as, Obsidian is actually a type of volcanic glass. The Apache Native Americans made their arrowheads from this because it was very sharp and kept a sharp edge.
So if you were going to do a demonstration about "Arrowheads", you might show a piece of obsidian in its natural form and then a sample of an arrowhead made from this. And then you could show some arrowheads made from flint. This would be the beginning of a demonstration and all the while you would be telling about the Native Americans and where they found the materials to make their weapons.
And by the way Geology is a science. i hope this helps.
