Political correctness is itself insulting.
It's based on the (IMO foolish) assumption that adults are incapable of managing their own emotions, incapable of hearing anything that may upset them, and incapable of controlling their reactions -- meaning that everyone must speak and act as if everyone else were fragile children.
Political correctness weakens everyone -- by devaluing truth, disrespecting personal opinion, and treating everyone as incabable of handling anything they don't like.

I agree. I remember when a CNN reporter was covering people looting a shopping mall after Katrina in New Orleans, and said they were not looters but called them disgruntled shoppers just taking stuff to survive on .....just as a big black guy with a shopping cart went by the camera with a 50" plasma tv on top lol Now that's political correctness at it's best! Or is it worst?

No, what I really have a problem with is the PC backlash. How could being PC be offensive exactly? Offensive to those that are making sexist, racist and etc remarks?
