The lump is a little smaller than a quarter. I'm just scared out of my mind. And my mom won't take me to the doctor....

I'm not in school. I just don't have insurance.
I'm really hoping that it will go away.

It is more than likely a cyst, or lipoma
which is a fatty type cyst. It is not dangerous, but it could also be a swollen lymph node. You can see the school nurse right away, and she can talk some sense into your mother.
If you are not in school, you can go to the local community health center, and they will call your Mom and talk some sense into her.

for a start, why wont your mum take you? very irresponsible of her. if a child is in distress about a medical issue they should take you to the doctor straight away.

but anyway, if its down deep in your groin it could be a lump related to another issue with your body, i dont really know what they are called, but all i know is for eg if you have a sore on your right leg sometimes you can get a lump in your right groin area, well not groin area....say you have a v and the tip of the v is your vagina well somewhere along that line from your hip, just before where your pubic hair starts, if it is somewhere in that region it could be related to something else and be nothing at all. eg: when my wisdom tooth was coming through on my bottom left side of my gums i had a big lump in that area on my left lower tummy area and the doctor said it was because i had a sore (gums) on the left side of my body. since then i have noticed the little sensitive lumps when i have had other sores

This definitely needs to be evaluated by a doctor. It bothers me that your mom won't take you to the doctor. Check with the city health dept to see if they offer a free clinic where you can get this checked out.

wth is wrong with your mother? go to a walk in clinic or something yourself. its likely its a cyst or something but you should get it checked out anyways. dont take chances with your health.
