i will be staying for one night as i am going to see a concert at the edinburgh corn exchnage on saturday night and wanted to know, how much it would be to get a taxi from the corn exchange to kirkcaldy, or if i could get a bus as that would be cheaper, and where would get this bus.

Its about 30 minutes in a car from Kirkcaldy to Edinburgh giving the traffic is not busy and the Forth Road Bridge is open, so will be expensive for a taxi, why are you staying in that hotel when it is so far away from the concert? You would have been better in a hotel nearer Edinburgh or a caravan in Seaton Sands. You can get a train from Inverkeithing to Edinburgh or the bus. There is a daily ferry service to Edinburgh.

You don't make it clear if you are going back to Kircaldy after the concert, or coming from K to the concert, where are you the other night?
A taxi would be expensive, about 28 miles / 50 minutes! Try and get a lift or a bus.

use the phone and either ring the organisers or the scottish tourist board, who are very helpful, or look in yellow pages when you get there for taxi firms,some taxis are restricted to a certain licensed operating area-

get the train. last one back to kirkcaldy is at 11pm-ish tho.
