the slope is zero because the equation y=7 is a horizontal line and considered a function..

it's because when you're talking about slope, it definitely states how steep the line is...

Whenever you see a linear equation that has no x coefficient (x is not in the equation), think of it like this:

y= 0x+7
y= mx+b
m=0
slope=0
