drinking coke shouldnt have any effect on your period. its likely you just have a natural heavy flow. many people crave salty or sweet things while menstruating, and your craving must be cola. i found this on a website:

"Caffeine interferes with the absorption of minerals including calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron that are essential for good health. Menstruating women often lose more iron through blood loss than they are able to recover through diet alone and caffeine further compounds this problem by reducing iron availability up to 50%. The high acidity of both regular and decaf coffee increases the body’s need for calcium to rebalance the body’s natural alkalinity. There are several lifestyle factors that influence bone density, and increase a woman’s chance of developing osteoporosis, including: smoking, alcohol use, hormone replacement therapy, exercise, diet and coffee consumption."

so prolly best to try stay away from caffiene during menstruation.

Some women flow heavy on the first day.
Others will flow heavy on the second day.
Still others will flow light all the way through.

Coke makes absolutely no difference.

--- by the way when I'm catching a cold I crave chocolate or salt

Are you sure that the coke is what is slowing your flow????

It may be that your flow would settle after a feew hours without the coke.

If it is coke particularly and not caffeine you are craving, then it may be the sugar you want.

Many women crave chocolate at this time! It makes us feel better!

Coke does have effect for me. A very heavy flow is reduced after taking coke.

Coke isnt doing anything, it is just your period easing on the flow, it is always heaviest right away because it is all the blood releasing at once.
