I was unaware, and I am not able to find any information that states Gen. Emilio Famy Aguinaldo participated with any group in the First World War (1914 - 1918).

Are you sure you are not thinking of the Philippine War (1899 - 1902)?

yes. the "visiting forces agreement" has long been in place! so is america's intervention (read: imperialism)!
