Hello dingleberry its a mountain not a graham cracker isn't it your bedtime.
There drillin a 4in hole if the mountain collapses due to that they shouldn't of been in there to begin with. There a mining company were talking a 4 in hole how hard is that i know 1800 ft big deal ya dig holes for a living and obviously you don't have a clue to where there at. I agree at the least plan your next hole no they have to wait clean the hole drop the camera 3 days later they say that hole is no good what the hell. I like how people get on here and say it'll collapse hello it already has.

That mine is 1800 feet deep, that's almost a quarter of a mile, and, it's a quarter of a mile long. Where, pray tell, would you start digging, having the earth moving under you from seismic activity, having one huge drilling operation going already and the earth being stirred.
Have you ever been around a rig like this? the ground shakes for hundreds of feet around it.

Have you ever broken a perforated graham cracker, dude? Notice how easily it gives way? They drill more than one hole at a time, that damn mountain will crumble faster than the WTC did, and they'll end up killing everyone including the mine workers if they are even still down there.

I requested a chum of mine who does mine rescues, and he suggested that there is not any longer sufficient kit to drill better than one hollow at a time, and that the load of the kit and the vibrations of the kit would be too lots for the mine shape to take at one time. it truly is a stable question although, it is the 1st factor i presumed while they have been taking a million-3 days to drill a hollow!

there was sumthin about this on the news last ngiht.... the mine isnt stable enough to have drilled more holes or as they suggested a hole big enough to put a "rescue capsule" in and there was already oone person that i know of died in the rescue efforts and the local government (whatever branch it is called) has put a hold on any more rescue efforts

Maybe because it is so unstable down there with all that activity, maybe more cave ins could have happened. But I think that is totally unacceptable because those were like people down there and I thought that it took them too long to get them in the first place. They should sue his butt! And make them find their loved ones!

I'm sure they did what they thought was best. I don't work in a mine so I don't know. Plus I would never work in a mine. Way to dangerous.

Physics. Too many holes, the mine collapses, no hope.
