my family is out of there mind, very southern, closed minded.. what id i want to get out and explore my options, party, still go to school, is that so bad? people talk around here and i would hate to be called a whore or that i'm not southern if i do this, but i feel like i need to get out and do something else besides... marry a low life have 4 kids get a divorce at 35.. i love it out here, but i refuse to be aother pretty girl that marries a guy that is not worth it? what do ya'll think.. i would hate for people around here to talk about me, or my ex boyfriends get happy because they think i'm not living right... what do u think?

I think you should just move away to somewhere new or atleast travel to California or New york And get a job, go to school and get a good carrer and meet good people and figure out what you want in life..

I understand how you feel.. I felt kind of the same way when I was your age. Keep in mind that that lifestyle that you desire is everyones dream. Also mind that school costs a bundle. If you can get the money to go to school and keep up the grades (you need to do that in order to get scholarships or just to be able to have a presentable transcript to be able to complete your degree) then you have it made. Trust me- I went to Uni and partied the 1st yr like mad. And to stay in school thereafter for 3 yrs- I had to make A's or high B's becasue my GPA% was so low.. I got a D average the first yr.. and it took my 2 1/2 yrs to bring it up! It was a fun time- but I would have handled it better if I could go back. And not have put such pressure on myself to be able to stay in the program.
School is expensive- if you can get a nice loan- I recommend getting out on your own.. and take into consideration if you can afford to buy gifts all year and so on.. get a budget sheet somewhere online for free.. But if you cannot get sufficient funds stay at home and go to school if your school is in town because it will save you tons of money.. If the school is out of town, you may need to go to work and that will cut down on social life a ton.
Just remember- If you do well in school- and I am all about school- you will do well in life and people will look up to that.. No one will think highly of a girl who partied too much and dropped out and is now resorting to that ugly picture you depicted of a pretty girl settling for all she can get.. School- School- School! Go get 'er!

I think you should do what you think you want to. You will still be just as southern especially if you still come back to see your family. Family is what counts, but not all that counts.
You just want options, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm sure your family will forgive you if you go off and do your own thing.
Your family shouldn't decide who you should be. They are what defines you, but that doesn't mean you have to be them.

I think your old enough to make your own decisions so just get out there and do what you must. Lead a good life and don't give people the satisfaction of seeing you fall down in life.

u know what... we've got a great big world out there and it needs exploring... so y not get out of there... explore other countries or places... and at the same time u can explore ur options as to what kind of life u wanna have... what kind of future u wanna be... go ahead.. get out of town... i think ur old enough to do these things... have a life of ur own... be free...

You have to live your own life. Point blank. You have to live your own life and do what makes you happy so I wouldn't worry about what what other people say you just focus on making yourself happy.

You are so right in the way you feel! Don't let others stifle you! Fly...live your dreams...enjoy life to the fullest. Always be safe, of course, and ensure you can take care of yourself, but please please please do what your heart tells you to do. It is your life, not theirs. If you start living your life by other people's rules and opinions, you will make yourself very unhappy and be filled with regret.
