i have paid my bills, like what you're supposed to do when you get a job,the thing is,is that except for how long I have worked at this job,i don't feel like I really have accomplished very much, except for making a few good freinds.I would like to feel better about myself working at my job,but I kinda stuck at work, and I would like to get another job,and go back to school, but I don't have a real clear path to what I would like to do,(except for working with computers).I want to take chances, like getting another job,but I don't have alot of confidence in myself in doing something else.Any suggestions on how to change the way I feel about myself?

Start at a community college nights. Take classes in English, Math and Science unless you want to take something else.
Get a handful of pamphlets explaining what each degree requires and then pick one that will lead to a job skill like accounting.
Keep taking classes that go for the degree and will transfer to a local 4 year school. When you have a AA degree try to land an internship or a entry level job.
Talk to your current boss, express your desire to grow in skills and how much you enjoy your current company. Ask if they might be willing to pay some tuition and give you a promotion when you finish.

try running in the mornings, about 30 minutes to 1 hr. it will help with your self esteem. any other cardio work out will help u conquer your feelings about yourself. now concerning your future, if you plan on settling down someday and have kids, you have to ask is your pay enough for you to save some money for the future? if your answer is no, then you should go back to school major in computer information system, and work part time as a help desk support or other similar jobs. computer information system is a huge field where you can go into web making, system analyst, system admin, DBMS admin, help desk, IT, and so on. it's a bigger field then computer science. computer science is a narrow field that is centered with the how to program questions, while the cis majors center on the design. you need design in order to program. the pay is good in cis, and it opens up doors to new territories. if you like computers, you will enjoy majoring in cis. don't let other people fool you about IT going outside the country, because you would still neeed IT here in order to make it all work. Security is a big issue, and with CIS as your degree, you can go into that field as well.

Why not get a part time job doing something diffrent for the holiday season. Lots of food service jobs open up at this time of year and with luck you might find someting you like better or a good reason to stay put.
Good luck.

have you ever tried working with computers. HP has classes for free on-line. I have taken several of them and discovered that I enjoy digital crafts. Now I use my computer and camera to make Christmas gifts such as calendars and business cards, suddenly I discovered alot of confidence in my self. I am now working out of my home..I enjoy the look people give me when I finish the project..

Hope this helps

look at what your job requires. sounds like your taking your talents for granted because you have done it so long. You have reached a "comfort level".
you want computers, try being a clerk at a computer store?
