Not a chance, I'd never take them back who needs someone disloyal, dishonest and plain clueless and dumb to leave someone who is worth everything and couldn't see it, that's his own stupid fault, and will have to live with it for the rest of his or her life!
Sure they might've seen the grass greener, however our eyes tend to play tricks on us at times. I don't look at anything that is not for me, period either I love and I'm committed or I have nothing, I don't believe in games, I don't do it to anyone and don't expect anyone (only someone special) to do it to me.
I expect respect, good communication and true love.

Has there been some great change since that person was gone, What if things get dull again for them? I wouldnt put my heart out there in the open for someone to play with.

this happened to me 13 years ago and I waited and hoped he would come back but he didn't, I have since met someone else and when I think back to the time I waited for him to return I now know it would have been a big mistake if I had took him back. If they do it once they will do it again, his plan did go "itts" up.

If he leave, do you think it for good, do let the door hit you on your rear on the way out. a green pasture sounds like your house is part of that pasture? Once he realize how nice he had it with you, he will want to come back. You do not know who he will sleep, a type of std's he is going to give you if you take him back. I do not think yoyu want to risk your own health. DO NOT TAKE HIM BACK he will continue doing this like a revolving door over & over again

we've been jointly 2 years- no longer extremely long yet long sufficient to appreciate it wasnt working truly properly. i presumed the grass became greener so i walked out. And one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days on...it sort of feels like a wilderness island. i'm begining to ask your self no remember if one is extra advantageous off with the 'devil you recognize'.

That depends on how much you loved them and how tolerant you were. It would also depend on if that person had gone off to sleep around and then found they wanted to come back because things weren't working out- you would feel like second best always then- besides not knowing what diseases they collected enroute! Maybe you would be better off moving on with your own life.

Maybe...but if their greener pastures included a new partner because they thought that their life was dull with me in it...then maybe not...then I think I would explore pastures new myself!

No I would not take them back, but I would sure sit back and enjoy watching their plans go 'itts' up whatever that means.
