I want to wish you and your family the best. I have no idea what your husband is like, but it sounds like he loves his family. I am able to come home for lunch breaks and that is not enough for me. Whenever I need a little kick in the seat of the pants at work or if I need a pick me up, I look at the photos of my boys. I think if I were in a similar situation as your husband is in, I think I would want to go places, the zoo, or wherever with the family, take some photos and take those with me. Family time and pics, that would do it for me.
Lastly, I would want an evening with my wife (not necessarily a sexual situation). She would probably want it even more than me and I would want it that much more because of what it would mean to her.
For what it is worth,
Tim O.

A framed family photo of about 5x6 ". It's very valuable and useful specially when you start missing your family's beautiful faces. Then the day before he leaves make a very special dinner for the family and surprise him with a cake that says, "Be back soon Dad! We love you!". At night, make it unforgettable for him. Do something you've never done yet. Be artistic, not only with your performance, but also in terms of the body senses. Make the night extra pleasing to his eyes, nose, tongue and the mind, as well.
Goodluck!

if he's going overseas and traveling, he'll need something portable (light weight and not too large). he sounds like a great family man- why not one of those digital photo frames and you could load up some memory cards with pictures of you and the kids so he can keep it in his hotel room. this is something you could keep updated by sending him new memory cards.

theres a picture frame that you can get that can upload pics from a computer that turn in to a slide show. and when you send him photos he can upload them to the fram and its like will be there while he is away.
You can get the frames at Sam's club, and radio shack.
Hope this helps.

Will he have access to a VCR/DVD player?. If so and I were away from my family I would love to see them every day on a tape or DVD. If you have a recorder or even if you have to borrow one, it would be wonderful if you could make tapes of you and your children doing things and telling him how much you love him and miss his. Don't tell him what's on it and even better don't tell him you made it. Hide it in his bag and let him find it. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
