Robin Hobb - Farseer trilogy (teen to adult)
Martin - Song of Fire and Ice (definitely more adult style)
Bakker - Prince of Nothing (adult reading also)
Tolkien - Lord of the Rings is a must

A good fantasy author is R.A. Salvatore but he's more adult the teen based. Most of his novels are in the Forgotten Realms setting but he has also done a lot of others including Star Trek and Tarzan.

Check out his website at www.rasalvatore.com

The Poisonwood Bible by using Barbara Kingsolver (fairly between the wonderful books i've got ever study and it is not any longer "religious preachy" even with what the identify would advise - it is the story of a missionary who takes his kinfolk to the Congo interior the 1960's and how their tale performs out and how he's tremendously lots of a jerk.) it is actual written with one usual lady protagonist yet instructed from the perspective of all the 4 daughters and the mum chimes in each now and returned. another - no longer technically a "novel" because of the fact it truly is a real tale yet "The Glass fort" by using Jeannette partitions. truly makes you grateful for the life you had even in the journey that your adolescents became form of awful. Peace, bill
