Summer...this happens because earth rotates on a tilted axis...and so the part of the earth closer to sun experiences more hot weather i.e. summer and the part of earth away from sun experiences cooler weather ie. winter...so when the northern hemisphere is closer to sun the southern is farther and when the southern is closer northern is farther....thus when its winter in northern hemisphere its summer in summer hemisphere

Simple my inquisitor, the southern hemisphere would be experiencing summer.

The earth is on a tilt so when the Northern Hemisphere is in winter (when the top of the earth tilts away from the sun), the bottom of the earth (South) tilts towards the sun, or summer.

Same thing the other way.

Due to the tilt in the Earths axis the seasons are reversed from northern to southern hemispheres.

spring - the seasons are off by one - like time zones. That's why winter surfing in Hawaii is so good - spring storms in the eastern hemisphere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on silly, winter north, summer south, opposite seasons all the year round. Get someone to show you how the earth is tilted with respect to the sun and why that gives us seasons everywhere and determines the N-S relationship.
