.He will. He has to be analyzed other than practice. It's either him or Frye.............Maybe the Browns GM should quit looking to college ball for a number producing QB......

Most likely Quinn will not play the opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers do have an elite defense, so the Browns coaches wouldn't want to risk putting Quinn in if he isn't ready. Coaches don't normally insert their rookie QB until the time is necessary.
You can have a case like Vince Young whom took over early but that was because the starting QB was struggling but he didn't take over until a few weeks into the season.
But in Carson Palmer's case, where he didn't play in his rookie season. Mostly because Jon Kitna was a solid enough QB to get by in a season to allow Carson to wait and groom as a good QB.

In a recent article on clevelandbrowns.com, Crennel implied that the starting QB spot has become a 2 man race between Frye and Quinn, and he will likely not announce the starter going into the Pittsburgh game. I think he made it pretty clear that if Quinn outplays Frye in the next 2 preseason games, he will be the opening day starter.

I think it's a possibility, but he will have to have some success against either Denver or Chicago's first team.

No, Brady will not play in the opening day, even if he IS the best QB on the team. Romeo Crennel does not trust rookies and the Browns do not want another Tim Couch. Depending on how the team is doing, Quinn could be starting by week 8, after the bye week. The Browns want to make sure that the O-line is on the same page and will actually protect the future QB of the Super Bowl bound Browns. Hey, it could happen!

Why would absolutely everyone be afraid to play against the Raiders? Quinn has to stand the Steeler's protection 2 circumstances a three hundred and sixty 5 days. that's what he's anxious approximately. believe me, he's no longer anxious on the subject of the Raiders in any respect. it is going to probable be a stable heat-up hobby for him.

No but I am a Steelers fan so it would be cool if they were the first team to trash Brady Quinn.

Quinn will hold a clipboard until the Browns are out of the 2008 Super Bowl contention. Then, he will start every game.

No.
As a Steelers fan I would LOVE it if he did.

IMO, he MIGHT have had a chance if he had stopped reading his own press and got his "a" into camp on time.
But, seeing that he THINKS he's better than he really is, he chose to holdout.

As others have said, he probably won't start until mid season or until they're officially out of playoff contention.

I hope so. The Steelers LOVE greeting rookie QB's.

I doubt it. Because of his holdout, he missed a lot of practices. But his strong showing in his first preseason game means that he probably will start during the middle of the season. But in the first few games, either Anderson or Frye will start.

They will keep him on the bench unitl they are out of contention to keep his confidence up. I know that sounds weird, but they don't want their future franchise qb getting to rattled and down on himself by going through that brutal early schedule.
