It all depends on your labor and delivery. My first son just didn't want to come out and was presenting face up, so he was slightly bruised after birth. However, my youngest was a quick delivery, less then five minutes of pushing; and had no molding of his head, bruises, anything. He looked absolutely perfect!

Yes, that is often the case. The trip through the birth canal is not a gentle one at all. Newborns not only often have bruises, their heads are also a bit mishapen due to the extreme squeezing. They return to normal after a few weeks.

My boys were so bruised when they were born it looked like they had been dropped or something but it was just bruising from the delivery which the Dr told me is normal.

My baby was transverse (side to side), ended up being c-section, and had a bruise/bump on her head for weeks from a vacuum. Cant speak for vaginal births personally, but I understand bruising is normal, although a doctor can tell you what's right and what's of concern.

some babies can get brusining . Mostly if they've had help being delivered, forceps or suction. My daughter had a little bruise on her forehead that went away in a few days.

Most defiantly! Not only are they bruised but they can look puffy and swollen too, as well as having an out-of-shape head.
