See Exodus 4:11 - "Who make the dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Does He sometimes he even makes animals blind?

See Zechariah 12:4: "In the day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open my eyes and ... smite every horse of the people with blindness.

Please explain.

Hi Suzanne! Zechariah is actually a prophectic book. This verse appears to be metaphor.

This second burden of Zechariah primarily focuses on the final stage of Jerusalem and God's judgement on the nations that have attacked Judah. Though all the nations are involved in the attack, the enpowerment of the Lord will enable his people to triumph over them. The cup in VS 2 is a symbol of God's wrath.

God's judgements are often swift. We are not always permitted to see them coming because of our sins.

God wiil be with his people in times of trouble. He will cover us with his wings.

What you have to understand is that Haruhi doesn't realize that she is God. Kyon has been working hard to try and keep that a secret from her. So you can't really put the blame on her for anyhthing she does, now can you?

I guess you could try explaining to her that she is God, but would you really want to chance the horrendous events Itsuki said may pass, if you did? There are some who agree with this choice though (namely Asakura), so you may want to give it some thought.

Other than that I don't know what else to say. I've never really thought about this question before...

[EDIT] A thumbs down? What did I say wrong? This is in the Comics & Animation, so you were talking about an anime correct? [/EDIT]

first i might say that it isnt necisarily the lords doing, and that not all believe that the lord does anything, let alone make blind people =P (refferencing atheism, which is what i am)

But on a more religious note ill say that blind people arent as much of a liability as you may think, and that their bravery and persistence has helped many people to deal with their own problems, and so perhaps god uses these people to teach the rest of the world a lesson.

kinda like hes saying " HEY!!! i made this wonderful and beutiful earth and you guys hardly ever even look at its majesty! only cutting down my trees, and smoking up my air!!! well this guy cant see at all, and yet he still see more than you!"

At least in some cases I remember, he makes people blind because they choose to be that way anyhow, out of rebellion. It is like giving them what they want, but they will come to regret it later.

I think that God does these kindsa stuff to keep us as humans in check. Like if God knows that someone will be overly proud He will inflict something on them to keep hem humble. Thats just my take on it... God is too caring to do that without reason.

THE LORD GOD make peoples blind physically and spiritually. Physically, in order to declare THE GLORY OF GOD as they are made blind with the divine purpose of allowing them only to see the glory of the kingdom of heaven to come in its garden of eden instead of this earth called in the spirit as the wlderness or deset. On hand, they are made spriritually blind, with the divine purpose of making them-the natural men, as the 2nd born as they will be made to see, spiritually speaking only in the soon coming kingdom of heaven, the mysteries of the kingdom. They per divine plan are in contrast to the 1stborn who can spiritually see or have spiritual vision; and thus, they can see the soon coming kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of GOD and even the unending world called omega.THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD. .
