Tark is right. It just reflects back directly to the same spot. And I was thinking how funny it would be to ask that question to a bunch of stoners. lol.

Try this. Get a hand held mirror and bring it to your desk. Put a book on the desk so you can read it normally. Hold the mirror on the other side of the book so you can see the book in the mirror. If you can read the words normally on the desk they will now appear upside down in the mirror. Also the words will still read left to right in the mirror.
Here is a case where the mirror does not reverse left and right but appears to reverse up and down. A lot of this is dependent on our perspective and how we expect things to look rather than what they really do look like.

Mirrors don't actually reverse right and left; they just reflect light from every point of your face/body directly to your eye, so the image seems reversed.

Try supporting yourself on your right hand, walk your feet up the wall so you are now in a position 90 degrees from standing upright. Now look in the mirror! What do you see reversed?

Because it doesn't actually reverse left and right!
What hits the right side of the mirror is reflected on the right side, what hits the left side is reflected on the left side.
So, if you look at yourself in the mirror, your right hand is still on your right side in the reflection.
If it is another person facing you, they are reversed, in that their right hand is on your left side etc.

Be3cause it reflects back to you the bits of image that are directly opposite it.
Your left side reflects directly back to you so you see a reversed image but your head, for example, is still reflected back to you as the top of the reflection.

A mirror reflects an image therefore changing left/right but a mirror does not invert an image and turn it upside down.

Because the mirror isnt concave. If you look at the hollow of a spoon you will notice reflection is upside down.
