Who told you it doesn't have a vapor pressure? If you spill it, it will dry up, so it has a vapor pressure. It just happens that we can't smell methanol (no odor, at least to humans anyway). Maybe because you couldn't smell it, you thought it didn't evaporate?

Hi again,

You either changed the question, or I had a total brain fart; I thought you were asking about methanol. Methane definately has a vapor pressure because it is already a gas at normal conditions. (It also has no odor) Sorry about any confusion!

Here are some values I found for methane:

VP: 1 atm@ -161.5 C; 5atm@ -138.3 C; 40atm@ -86.3 C

Methane does have a vapour pressure but it is a gas at room temperature so its vapour pressure is seldom spoken about.

Methane has vapor pressure, although the vapor presure is observed at lower temperatures (considering that it is a gas at room temperatures), and what we observe in the room temp. condition is its pressure as a gas.
