I shave down, then up, then jawbone to chin....my neck I only shave up. It's still over 200 strokes an my face/neck ... but it's close & smooth

Upwards . To get the best shave, you shave the opposite direction. Most hairs grow downwards , so if you shave upwards you get a smoother better shave.
