... I haven't had this many "Charlie Horses" in my legs since I was pregnant 18 years ago! (Nope, not a chance that I am... I had a full hysterectomy.)

My mom says it's from not having enough Potassium or something... recently I started eating a banana once a day... but I'm still having problems with my one lower leg(s).

What do you think it could be from?

People think that bananas have the most potassium, but I think potatoes are actually much higher on the list. I would try that first and see if it helps. If not, I would probably go to the doctor...If you have a potassium problem that can't be solved by changing your diet, then maybe they might prescribe potassiums pills.

Good luck! I've had this problem in the past...It's no fun!

Fresh spinach, fish and red potatoes also have high amounts of potassium. Try walking regularly every day to keep the muscles supine.

You should see a doctor if this has been going on for a long while - more than 2 weeks.

Truckers eat all the wrong stuff, we eat whats good tasting not what's good for us, so cramps is a common problem. Potassium and vitamin C with Calcium is your answer.

If you are getting your potassium and you are still getting cramps, you need more water. You are dehydrated. Remember that drinking carbonated beverages help to dehydrate your body, so stay away from them

See a doctor to be safe. It may just be muscle spasms . My husband had cramps and he had to have his vein replaced in his leg. It's best to be safe and get it checked early.
