Be very, very careful. History has shown that an education can be very dangerous for Conservatives.
Check around - there might be a few Conservatives at the local Bible colleges.

Yes, I am.
As a former US sailor and now a college student. I do see a direct liberal agenda in college. Especially general classes.
I am not a political science major, but I have had teachers tell me how the military is terrorizing the Iraqis, Jerry Falwell is rotting in hell (The day after his death) and Condi Rice is a traitor to her race.
You just have to take it for the most part. Many of the teachers have tenure and cannot be fired. If you get to the point that you cannot take it anymore, most colleges have more than one teacher in a class. They have to let you drop and retake the class. You may still have to pay for it, depending on how far into the class you are, but you can take a drop and retake the class later.
I dropped an english class after the teacher told me how I was a part of military terrorism. I am retaking the class this symester under another teacher.
Just hang in there. Remember hating conservatives is the only legal form of discrimination in the US currently. Just think of yourself as a Rosa Parks or MLK. By sitting through it and gaining your education you can change it later.

I start college on Monday and yes, I am Conservative. But I am majoring in History. And teachers/professors do tend to be liberal, as do many students. There are other conservative college students, at least where I'm at. I say, if it comes down to debates, keep your answers straight forward and as rational as possible, that way, you can still voice your beliefs yet not get in trouble for them (at least your not supposed to). Good luck with it!

I want to get a political science degree. Personally, I prefer "left-wing, right-wing", rather than liberal or conservative. I recommend evaluating your political stances before doing the poli sci program. If asked whether I was liberal or conservative, I would say neither. I have my beliefs and stances, take them or leave them.

Good question.
I answered, not because i majored in political science (I majored in electronics - not much political discussion in those classes), but because I sent my rational thinking, split ticket voting son to college for four years and he came out completely "liberalized."
I want my tuition money back !!!!
Just hold to your beliefs and accept that you are apparently correct - most college kids are liberal as are the professors.

My three oldest kids are Conservatives like me and my husband (their Dad for all of you on the left...same Dad to all the kids AND my husband...there ARE some of us dinosaurs out there). Fourth child is still in HS, and is also a Conservative Republican.
They joined groups like College Republicans and got involved in Conservative groups. The kids are for the most part apolitical - it's the crazy Professors you have to worry about. My son turned one in for liberal harassment and he got into trouble...watch them!!!

Well, I would be cautious. Don't stick your neck out until you know your professor well. To see if he is fair and believes in open debates. I am an older college student, be strong. I know some who came out after 4 years totally brain washed.

I find it interesting that your a conservative college student, when the conservatives are the ones not reforming college education, and not doing anything to curb the rising cost of a decent college education. I am sure you will change your beliefs when the bill starts rolling in, unless you were born with the silver spoon which explains you being a conservative.
thank god i used the military to pay for my education.

i was along time ago and use to but heads with teachers quite allot , just keep the opinions out of class cause you wont change the opinions of the teachers , wait till your out of class or after college and then go wild ,you will save yourself a horse voice and allot of headaches in the long time
that doesn't mean compromising your positions
its more about knowing when to fight your battles

there are some... but they seem to be few and far between
college tuition costs have went up approximately 40 percent over the past 7 years of Republican leadership on average... and student loan rates have went up too... maybe that has something to do with it?
have fun paying for it... I'm glad I got out when I did...
