It looks like the driver you are trying to install is not the right one. Install the driver that is compatible w/ Vista.

You will have to find a vista compatible driver, go to the HP website and if your printer doesn't have a vista compatible driver they will suggest one that will work. Down load the driver, your software probably won't work but if you know anyone with a new HP printer, you can use their software.
Microsoft should not have released vista before they did.
