...... or do you take it personally, i mean, as in feeling not liked anymore lol, or what the heck is going on? When you haven't gotten a best answer in a few days? Anyone can be a top contributer, there's no limit, but do you worry about losing the badge or is it no big deal? lol........ i'm just curious...

yes, i'm always surprised to get 'best' too.....

and i do agree.... it IS like a glorifed 'kick me' sign isn't it? It does seem that the trolls purposely thumbsdown or report the Q&A of TC's.
That's so silly..... there's no limit on TC's ..... lol

I agree... i usually try to give a thorough, well thought out answer just for the doing. I don't worry about BA though it's always a nice bonus.........
although sometimes..... a fast satirical, witty reply is somewhat more appropriate, or at least funnier to provide!

Yes I tear my hair out and cry myself to sleep after writing about it in my diary. Then I plot revenge on all who work against me .... they know who they are. Then I block everyone who doesn't give me a best on every single question, even ones I don't answer.

I have had 804 answer not picked for best answer so far and many of my best answers were won in voting. So no I don't get depressed about not getting picked. I am actually surpised most of the time when I am picked. The badge it comes and goes here today could be gone next week, just not a big deal.

Well, I've had mine for about a day now so I don't really know just yet but before I got it when I gave a real well thought out answer that got a lot of thumbs up and the asker picked a one word answer or something that just didn't seem to make sense. I will shamefully admit, it did make me upset at first. Not so much anymore though.

Yeah, I wonder why my question is any dumber than another. I usually hang it up about then and figure I'm not thinking. I could never earn an orange badge, but I kinda stay away from those thinking the other people need the points more.

Not at all. However, there are some questions I would really like to have the BA to because the response I give feels to be one of my better ones. I certainly don't feel that I'm less liked because I don't even know if I'm known in the first place!

I used to gripe about NOT having the Top Contributor badge, however, it really is silly for me to go on and on about. Still, I wouldn't get depressed about it. Far more important things in life.

I don't take it personally at all. I try to give MY best answers but if it isn't what the questioner is looking for...... oh well. I do like it when I do get the best answer vote, but I don't really care all that much.

No way, if I took it personally I'd be in a mental institution by now, lol. I've probably got one of the lowest "best answers" percentages on here because I just say what I want.

Absolutely not. That is such a waste of time, to take that attitude. What would be the fun, of having friends, that acted like babies. That badge is no big deal. Doesn't effect me in any way. I came on this site to help others and to be a good decent friend. I let nothing disturb my serenity, except the pain & suffering of others, like our dedicated military men & women. Please remember to thank them for serving next time you see one. They deserve that !! ~~~~~~~~Nite now.

Sort of.

I mean, I might take it personally if there were only two people who answered a person's questions, and I was one of the two, and the other person got picked as best answer, but otherwise, I'm fine. No biggie.

I seldom get best answers even though I try to give good solid answers. I think sometimes my answers just zoom out of focus only to see the askers contact get best answer for much less information they gave.
