Do you like the full name Marielle, or the nickname Elle better?

They would be pronounced Mary+El and El basically... =) I'm a fourteen year old going into highschool and some of my friend from gradeschol are skeptical whether I should have people call me Marielle or Elle...

I'm not changing my name hon... I'm trying to figure out a good nickname because I personally think my name is too long, and there are lots of idiots who mispronounce it and make me feel like an idiot. Thanks for the advice though..?

My name is Shayna and people call me Shay. It's quicker. I like Elle. You will still always be Marielle, just Elle for short.

I really like Elle for short!! Marielle is pretty but your right...it is too long. If you dont define a nick name now, people might end up calling you Mary and I hate that. I think Elle sounds trendy yet elegant and feminine. Even though its getting more popular now, your ahead of the trend...so it would be unique for you.

I love your name but I understand your pain, my name is unique and people are always mispronouncing it ALL the time. So I think if you are trying to simplify your life go with Elle.
