I never said the NAACP claimed Vick was innocent. I asked if it were fair that they were playing the race card.Which they are.Calling what is going on with him part of the racist judicial system.

Anyone with sense enough to look at the majority of people who have been convicted for the same thing would not. The majority of previous convictions have been against white folks. So only pathetic drama junkie victim mentalities without the ability to validate their victim mentality opinions would dare say or think such a thing......and the opinion of such a loser doesn't mean much to me. God forbid a black criminal be treated like a white criminal. That is mighty racist, eh? But I do intend to slap the hell out of any and all cry babies that have the unintelligent audacity to say such a foolish thing to my face. None yet with the balls. Glad to know the NAACP is still more than content with deteriorating the idea of racial equality....glad to see there are still whiny butts that still support them. Must suck to be such a "I'm special" spoiled rotten child though....I'll pray for those archaic babies, God knows they need it.

Downthumb all ya want drama junkies. The thoughts of a victim mentality 2 year old doesn't mean much to anyone with a grasp on reality and mature thought process.

The NAACP never accepted any role in this case whatsoever. No black civil rights group supported Michael Vick. I do not even know of one black person that think he is even innocent or might be. I agree with the person above that said that he was a man that broke the law. He has to pay for that crime.

The black community never rallied around him. The community NEVER made this a race issue. I do not understand why people are trying to make it one.

I AM part of the black community and I do not care what the media is saying, we are NOT supporting Michael Vick! We are ashamed of what he done. I just looked on the CNN website, I could not find the link in which it said that the NAACP proclaimed Vick's innocence.

****With all due respect. What I saw was that the head of the Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP believes that he should not be dismissed from the NFL, he also said that Vick could be redeemed. Isn't that more of an admission of guilt than playing race cards. The NAACP is not the black community. The Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP is not the entire NAACP either. No disrespect, but it is unfair to assume that millions of black people rally around Vick. I do not think that this should be a race issue. It sickens me what Michael Vick did, but when I heard it, I did not think Black Man. I thought how horrible that someone would do something like this.

It seems nowadays too many people are looking at skin color and forgetting about the crime that was committed in the first place, regardless of the crime. The crime is overshadowed by people pointing fingers due to race. Victims are being ignored because people care more about the race of the individual than the crime commited.

I am black and I never supported what Michael Vick did. I do not personally know of one person that does. A few people will always rally around a celebrity, regardless who it is. He will be sentenced and that is great. But instead of making it a race issue, why not a stepping stone to crack down on many that are still doing it right now.

no. He is guilty and he needs to pay regardless of race. When this whole thing started the media was trying to play the race card. It was published that out side of the court room 99% of the people demanding his head were white, and that 99% of thoose saying innocent untill proven guilty were black. The dirty bastard did it everyone knows he did, he needs to rot in jail, and what does the NAACP, race,NFL, or his bank statment have to do with that?

The NAACP has absolutely no place in the Vick case. He is not poor, not disadvantaged, not at all discriminated against, and should not be given the time and attention of an organization pledged to help the above listed groups of people.

Vick will tarnish whomever he touches, and the NAACP is asking for it, in my opinion.

Michael Vick has already accepted a plea deal.He is going to get some prison time.It doesn't matter anymore what the NAACP thinks about his case.

No one should play the race card in Vick's case. He was wrong point blank. Let's put the dog fighting aside for a second( even thought that is a horrific crime in itself!) he was a NFL player, he knew the rules and guidelines of the NFL. The NFL as well as the MLB, and the NBA have rules against gambling of any kind. This dummy gambled, why should they defend him...when a referee who is white was kicked out of the NBA for gambling...Pete Rhodes kicked out of MLB for gambling.

He committed a crime, he killed harmless animals....race shouldn't come into play!!

Their argument is that it's racist to prosecute someone for what has become part of their "culture", like 9mm's, malt liquor, and carjacking.
The guy posting below is right. Chris Rock said at one of his shows that even the white bus boys in the house wouln't trade places with him and he's rich.

No, and in doing so they expose a major flaw with their organization. Instead of focusing on the equality of all, they continue to focus on the race related issues they were founded on. In doing they cause a deeper rift in the race division in our country. Instead of looking at the "right and wrongs" in the Vick case, they are looking at his race and supporting him solely on that fact.

Well, answer me this: where is Jesse Jackson and Al Shaprton? Could they believe that Michael Vick is guilty of what he is charged with?
