deja vu - The experience of thinking that a new situation had occurred before

You feel like you had been somewhere or done something or heard something, and you know it could not have happened.

It's déjà vu, French for"already seen." You know what it feels like, but I'm not sure of the cause--I've read that it might be because some parts of the brain figures stuff out a bit faster than the other parts, so that when the "slower" parts catch up, the "faster" parts think they've already seen it. I'm not sure about that, though! Most people have experienced it, but it's pretty weird, isn't it?

Deja Vu (French for "already seen").

No one knows what causes it, but we all experience it
