It hasn't in any way, shape, or form. The American standard of living, the American reputation around the world, the basics and foundations under which the US was founded have all suffered greatly under GW Bush.

If by American Life your referring to an Insurance company or the most wealthy class of people in America, life has improved.

If your talking about all the rest of us the only positive thing that Bush has done is to set up a Woman or A Black Person as our next President..

It hasn't improved at all. It's worsened.

We're now despised by more countries than ever before because that idiot thinks he's some rogue cowboy.

The economy is in the tank, more jobs have been cut or gone overseas, and corporations continue growing more powerful and less tax-affected.

We're assaulted by daily efforts by the government and media to keep us frightened so we'll comply. Trust me, when that ridiculous Color Wheel o' Terror shouts out which threat level we're at, I yawn and don't let it affect me at all. As for the media, they have sold their souls -- journalists have completely abandoned their duty to be the WATCHDOGS of government, not its LAPDOGS. A lot of people have forgotten [or were never aware] that the press was created centuries ago to report on what leaders were doing, to keep them accountable. In this country nowadays, they're nothing but marketing assistants, robotically repeating whatever astounding lies the government and military feed them.

And finally, we no longer have Habeus Corpus. That fascistic Emperor Bush obliterated it illegally. I can't believe there wasn't rioting in the streets -- well, there must have been a good episode of "American Idol" on that night. Americans sure do have their priorities straight!

I love this country with all my heart, but I utterly despise this government and this military.

I have 2 foreclosure homes on my street, the value of my home has dropped by 20,000 dollars, I make about 10,000 dollars less a year. The cost of electric and home heating has risen almost 50%. The price of gas has doubled, taxes have gone up, I pay 150 dollars more a month for health care, car insurance has almost doubled. Now we have foriegn competition for jobs on our own soil.

I really can not think of anything he has done to improve my life!

I do not hate Bush but I think he is even more incompetent than Jimmy Carter was and that is doing something. He is a poor poor leader and I see little he has done than is good.

No Child Left Behind for example has had just the opposite effect. I hope for better in 2009 when the new president takes office.

Do you mean other than tripling the price of gas in 6 years, or involving the US in a war with no exit strategy,or increasing the budget defict more than any president since Reagan? Other than that everythings just peachy.

He improved the economy and brought us out of the Clinton recession. He lowered the tax rate, but still increased tax revenue. He has gone on offense against the terrorists and denied them any safe havens, which increased security for the US. He added prescription drugs to medicare.

If I were one of the rich, elite, I could tell you how my life has improved tremendously. Unfortunately, I am one of the regular working class who seems to be getting screwed six ways from Sunday since he has been president.

Well, let's see........ Thousands of our young people have been killed in a war for nothing, the value of our dollar is eroding on the world market, we have found an Attorney General worse than Ashcroft ( a nearly impossible feat), Bill Clinton is no longer the worst President in US history, we've found out that the Constitution is just a "piece of paper", Thousands of people died in a "terrorist attack, the perpetrator of which we have ceased to look for; and the Patriot Act has limited our fundamental rights, as well as has given Big Brother more power than he ought to have. That about sums it up for me.

:-(
