For myself, in the waning hours of the wee morning, when I open the fridge and look and look; I'm hoping that I might be able to come up with some combination of ingredients that are in there to make something tasty. So I go back, stand there with the door propped open and start to go through recipe ideas. Acknowledging and disregarding them almost as soon as they come to mind. Hoping all the time, that some food combination idea will spring forward and allow me to make something tasty. Last interesting food combo- Brat covered with shredded pickled beets--I did not have any sauerkraut or onions at the time. It was pretty tasty. But, then again, anything at 3AM with any taste at all is tasty...

I was looking for a certain donut at the store--you know, the ones in the display--I kept bending over and looking and looking. A lady asked me if she was in my way. I stopped, burst out laughing and told her that I was hoping my favorite kind of donut would magically appear and all would be well in my world. She laughed with me on it and the donut never appeared.

I don't think anything will materialize but if I look long enough, that slice of cheese might have more appeal.
