I'm just curious if anyone knows because I can not figure it out. He is not hard of hearing.

May not be hard of hearing, could be hard of listening. Try shutting up while he watches TV, you know, be polite? If you have to talk, save it for the commercials, unless there are breasts involved, then wait patiently, he won't hear you anyways.

Are you sure hubby isn't "hard of hearing"??? As we age, many of us lose subtle degrees of hearing loss; the ability to pick up and hear sounds from certain frequencies by naturally healthy means is forever lost. This often times calls for one to adjust the car or home stereo sound or turn up a TV volume.

Might not be a bad idea to have hubby check into having a Ear, Nose and Throat specialist (recommended by his doctor) take a close look into the matter and get him some relief and help.

Do you have a second TV? My boyfriend is hard of hearing (slightly) and has to have the TV up louder then I like. I either go into the bedroom and watch the TV there, or I use my headset and listen to something on my computer. Life it too short to get upset over little things like that. Find a way to work around it.

I had a poor noisily snoring difficulty. Then i'd end unexpectedly. I had what's called "apnea". After recent technique sleep examine i began out using a CPAP (consistent useful air stress), a small air compressor that blows air into my nostrils at a low stress. This cured the sleep apnea and thoroughly stopped the noisily snoring. The gadget makes an exceedingly low-point sound and would not worry my spouse in any respect (and the noisily snoring drove her to distraction). I sleep lots extra advantageous, have extra potential and now can't sleep devoid of it. Have him see a snooze professional. there is desire.

I can tell you from experience, it's to drown out the wife.
Nothing personal. Guys brains can't multitask by listening to the TV and everything else.

maybe he is a bit hard of hearing or he is tuning you out.
Ask him...... my wife does the same to me and I end up lowering the volume out of pure courtesy... I like it loud....

Maybe he likes to tune out all the other sounds in the house and wants to focus only on what he's watching

I asked my roommate that one time and he says the loud volume helps him stay awake. (It keeps the neighbors up, too.) Maybe your husband is the same way.
