i hate to say this but it sounds like it broke a main drive belt on it,and that may have done this to it,have it checked, because it could have really done some serious damage to the engine if it did, have some one look it over real good for you, hopefully it didn't hurt anything that bad on it,when those get hot though they usually get a head gasket, good luck with it.

If it lost power steering most likely the water pump is kaput and either is locked up preventing the serpentine belt from turning or most likely caused the belt to jump off.

Pop the hood and look at the passenger side of the engine is the belt there? If so Start it up and look at the power steering pump pulley,it is tucked down on the back side of the engine. Look for the power steerinf fluid resevoir and follow the hoses to the pump. See if that pulley is turning.

Lastly and should have been first check the fluid level. The resevoir is mounted under the hood on the passenger side fender.

If it is the water pump unless your rather handy you'll need to tow it to a shop.

The ac compressor is assume to disengage if the coolant temp reaches a definite factor. verify the serpentine belt to establish it it tight and the tensioner is conserving it tight verify the pump bearings. verify coolant point. the radiator followers do no longer could desire to run out on the line to maintain temp time-honored, yet while they do no longer come on on the city, the van will run warm.
