Nothing but disaster follows in the wake of colonization. Brits have rewritten their history books to justify their horrid invasions of other nations.

America's not "colonizing" anybody.

Daniel L, The Phillipines haven't been under our control since 1946, and Puerto Rico & Eastern Samoa WANT to be part of the USA.

This is not colonization! If you have not noticed they are trying to get Iraq to form a Government that is agreeable to all. To this point they have not been able to. Colonization involves only the mother government of the colonizing nation.

Puerto Rico and the Phillipines seem to like be under American control. So do the Samoan islands we have as colonies. I think our small ventures into colonializationhave been pretty successful. Plus, we give them the choice to leave our little community and none have taken us up on it.

I think the US did rather well because of colonization.

That is exactly what the bush administration is trying to do. He needs to stop using the 9/11 tragedy for his real reason he went into Iraq. It's obvious he went for other reasons...
