I rent a house which is basically a duplex. My uncle is the landlord. In our lease it says me and my boyfriend are entitled to 2 full parking spaces. My nieghbor lives in the same house just rents the bottom floor of the house and is entitled to 2 spots as well. Me and my downstairs neighbor along with my boyfriend are furious with the next door neighbors. They have 2 cars and enough room to parallel or pull in park 4 cars in front thier home. Out back of my home is a church parking lot which we all been told not to park there and we will get hit by other traffic if we park on the side. So these next door neighbors instead using their 5 spots park in front of my house. They are different cars every day...i am fed up and was just flipping out and my mom had to come down in the mid. night so i would not smash that car. We live on a very busy road and have not much room to park. If we add driveway, they just block it in...what do i do politely. Its midnight now and cant go tel her to move

Seems like nothing we do works and dont know why these dumb neighbors rather walk farther and park 50 yards from their own spots
Can our landlord get permits from our town stating the parking out front is for us and if neighbors park where we are entitled to they be towed?
O my neighbor watched her get out of her car after parking in front of our house and told her people park here and needs to move and just kept walking.
EVERYONE PLEASE PARK INFRONT THEIR OWN HOMES AND NOT TO BLOCK DRIVEWAYS OR OBSTRUCT VIEWING OF OTHERS

o It is on the roadway but we literally got nohwhere else to park. I dont have a driveway but i meant was i did they would block us in. I made my own sign and stuck it on my porch "IF YOU DONT LIVE HERE< DONT PARK HERE!" she deliberately ignored my nice downstairs neighbor and now being a biatch. SO i took his van with permission and moved it bout half foot from front her car and moved my car a half foot from the back of her car so bia cant move

It sounds like they are being rather rude and inconsiderate. However, if it is a public street and parking is allowed on that street, there is nothing you can do. The key word is public!
It is annoying, yes, but as long as it is legal parking and they do not block your drive then they are within the law.
Sorry!

You don't indicate if the parking spaces are on private property or on a public street. If they are on a public street, anyone has any right to park on the street and there is nothing you can do about.
The only exception to the above is if they block your private driveway. As above posters have already indicated, if someone blocks your driveway, you can call the police and the car can be towed away at the owner's expense.
If all the spaces are on private property and they are parking in your spaces, your landlord/uncle can send them a notice that they are in violation of their lease agreement and if the problem persists, they will leave him no choice but to evict them.
The neighborly way to handle the matter, since your uncle is the landlord, is have him go with you and your Mom to meet with the offending neighbor, make them aware of the problems they are causing and politely request that they to the neighborly thing and allow you to park in front of your house for safety reason, especially if you routinely have a schedule where you arrive home late at night alone.
EDIT
***Keep in mind if you deliberately block them in, they have the right to call the police and have you towed***

If someone blocks your driveway, you can have the car towed. I had to do it a couple of times when I lived in the city. People seemed unable to "see" the driveway, even with a car sitting in it. Just call the police and inform them that your driveway is blocked. Claim that you don't know whose car it is, and they will come and write a ticket. Usually about thirty minutes later, a tow truck will arrive. The great thing is that if the tow truck has hooked up the car, even if the person then comes out of their house, the tow truck will not unhook it. They will have to wait for it to be processed, and bail it out of impoundment. It might teach them a lesson.

Look, anybody has the right to park in front of your house if it's a public street. Can't you just park your car in front of your neighbors house as well? Is it really that far a walk?

Why can't your uncle have some signs made up that state "no parking" or "parking for tenants of _____ address only"?
And I think your uncle should go over there and talk to the neighbors in a nice, reasonable way and explain the problem and ask them to help solve it.
