Shop around online for a catalytic converter, prices will vary alot so do alot of research. Labor wise to take out the converter depends on the shop. Some shop charges $85 per hour.

Hi Cupcake.I'm assuming your check engine light is on (with codes P0420 / P0430).As you know the genuine Toyota converter is very pricey (but covered under Federal emmission warranty for 8 years / 80,000 miles which ever occurs first).Look in yellow pages under "muffler shops" and get some prices (my guess $400-$600).Try the smaller independent shops-stay away from from the Midas & Meineke shops.

I just priced a converter on my 1994 Chevrolet C1500 and they wanted $375 parts and labor.

Good Luck,

they usually charge around 250 for this at a muffler shop, but that's for the after market ones, they originals are a lot more expensive, but the after market ones work just as good, the price has come down a lot on these since they started making after market ones, but call a good muffler shop to be sure on this,I'm not that sure on the exact price of it for that vehicle, but it wont be that much over on that one, good luck on it.
