im very curious about this one. the city workers are on strike which in turn shuts down the public golf coarses. it is a public course and my tax bux go towards it. since there is nobody in the proshop to pay, can i play the game i love. thx all

As you stated, the course is shut down. That means you are trespassing if you are caught on the property.

It's not free to play there, so it wouldn't be legal. Upkeep of the course comes from the green fees, etc, not just from tax dollars, plus there are liability issues, if the course is shut down, it must be off-limits to public. It seems to me the equivalent of this would be crossing a toll bridge without paying the toll.
