Okay, gotta make up for asking a basically waste-of-space question. I am truly sorry folks.
1.* What/where is your favorite arena/rink?
2.* Biggest blowout you attended: what was the final score?
3. When it comes to hockey, is "defense wins championships" always true?
4.* How many hat tricks have you seen while attending games?
5.* What was the best on-ice intermission game or activity you've watched?
1. The Igloo.
2. Not remembering a blowout...
3. Takes heart most of all. I'm inclined to believe that the team with the better defense wins the Cup though.
4. None. I'm lucky enough not to have been to a blowout and unlucky enough not to have seen a hat trick. LOL.
5. Usually at the restrooms/concession stand or watching the jumbotron but I did see some guys in sumo suits flop around on the ice, haha.
*starred questions suggested by David D. No, he didn't know he was bailing me out tonight. LOL. I thought they were great suggestions though. So props to David. :)

1. Small rink I grew up playing in...coldest rink I've ever been in. Hobomock Rink in Pembroke Massachusetts.
2.I'm not sure...I think 5-1 Bruins lost to I forget who?
3.Nope...hockey is so fast paced everybody on the ice has to be good. In other sports like football you can draw up plays with X's and O's and that's what will basically happen...it's all down to the players but in hockey you never know where the pucks gonna go...sure you can draw up pay but you have to alway be prepared no matter what position you are.
4. Proffessional?...3
5. I actually was at a game and at the Bruins games they have this thing where you get like 8 pucks and they park a hummer in front of the net and you get like a minute to get as much goals as you can...usually it's like 40 year old men who get about 2 goals...a girl on my hockey team 13 years old got all 8 in...I didn't even know she was there...it was pretty cool.

Philadelphia Flyers
1. Philadelphia Spectrum. I don't know if it's because it is the House that Lindros Built or because the Flyers won their cups in the old barn (I know how long ago that was!) but the Wachovia Center doesn't have the same feel or intensity that the Spectrum does.
2. I don't remember the biggest blowout I watched was but I once lost a game in college 22-0.
3. Always...No. The Edmonton Oilers had a dynasty several years back where the strength of their team was their offense. They had a solid defense to go along with it, but the core component was their ability to put the puck in the net.
4. I have seen several, not sure how many.
5. Mites on Ice. It is the one thing I will always wait through the intermission for.
EDIT: Erica, apparently you have David D and I into a routine. We are the only two so far who included our team in the first line of the question even though you didn't ask for it in this one!
EDIT 2: I believe if you were to ring a bell, both of our mouths would start to salivate as well. We are hockey fans, what do you expect?

1. Favourite arena was the Montreal Forum, followed closely by old Chicago Stadium
2. Biggest blowout I attended was an IIHF match won by the Soviet Union, the opposing team had 2 shots, the Soviets had 93. Boris Mikhailov had 11 points
3. A strong defence is essential to winning championships with the exception of the 80s Oilers. Great championship teams like the Montreal Canadiens of the 50s through the 70s had both a great offence and defence.
4. I've probably see thousands of hat-tricks. Most notable is an 8 goal game by a 15 yr old kid name Mario Lemieux. He also had 4 assists that game.
5. As a scout I usually would go visit a dressing room at intermission and chat with the coach or players. If I wasn't doing that, I was probably getting beer. I really can't recall ever sitting through an intermission.

1) Favorite rink is my home rink The Bank Atlantic Center (the Florida Panthers Arena) 2) I have attended a couple of games where one team has scored 10 goals. The Panthers have done it twice when I was present also I remember a visiting team doing it too( just can't remember which one) 3) Here is my list goal 50% defense 30% and offense 20% 4) I have seen many hat tricks in person. Most recently Olli Jokinen had one at home. 5) the best intermission thing I witnessed was the time I got to play one of those hockey games at intermission it was two seasons ago. It has been the only time womens hockey has been represented. It was only three minutes but it was a rush!

Red Wings/Lakers/Pestka Construction Pee Wees
1. The Joe (never been there) and Taffy Abel Arena, in "The Soo"
2. It was a Pee Wee game, like 17-3
3. Some what, like lubers said, look at Edmonton.
4. There were 3 kids that each got hat tricks in the above mentioned blow out.
5. The local radio station had a contest, 4 people had to see who could get a frozen t-shirt on the fastest, it was rather entertaining. I also like Chuck-a-Puck
6. I have to make it to a game so i can answer your questions with out having to use college and Pee Wee level answers. I do live closer to Detroit now! 5 hours compared to 12!

1.* What/where is your favorite arena/rink?
Spectate: Joe Louis Arena
Play: Calumet Armory (coldest rink, best ice)
2.* Biggest blowout you attended: what was the final score?
-I've watched some high school teams get completely routed.
Game: My team VS. Plattsburg State, they had almost 100 SHOTS ON GOAL. I can't even remember the score (probably like 12-3 or something).
3. When it comes to hockey, is "defense wins championships" always true?
NO, i've played for defensively awesome teams, but if you can't generate offense or if you depend on the D to score, you can be good, but you can't win if you're fowards can't score.
4.* How many hat tricks have you seen while attending games?
I think I saw one at the GLI last year? Maybe one or two other's at red wings games, but it was awhile ago, can't remember for certian.
5.* What was the best on-ice intermission game or activity you've watched?
I kind of like "chuck-a-puck". I can't stand the shots from the blue line, the people they pick frustrate me.

New York Rangers/Hartford Wolf Pack
1. I love the aura of MSG, but have never been there for a hockey game, so for my hockey experience, I'd say the Hartford Civic Center
2. There were two - 10-4 and 9-3, both Wolf Pack wins
3. 99% of the time, yes. If you can't keep the puck out of your own net, you can't win.
4. Two. John Tripp, and in that 9-3 blowout mentioned above, Ryan Callahan
5. Haven't seen too much variety at the HCC, but I do like the little kids playing hockey. Future NHL stars!
Erica - Way to forget part 5. The last one was 4. This one is 6.
Edit: Erica, since you're striking out a lot here, should we have someone else take over for you? lol
Add: In compliance with TBL's last bandwagon request, I forgot to close this in the correct manner...
Drop the puck already!

Pittsburgh Penguins!
1. Nationwide Arena. I went to my first Columbus Blue Jackets game last season...great atmosphere there. Believe me, Columbus has me sold as a hockey town.
2. I can recall a few routs against some of the early 1990s expansion teams at the hands of the Penguins...
3. Defense winning championships is booooring! I like offensive firepower!
4. I have witnessed numerous hat tricks by Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Kevin Stevens, and yes, even one from Sergei Fedorov!
5. This isn't related to the NHL, but at my alma mater (the University of Toledo) I saw a guy fit himself through a hoop and a small glass box...very interesting stuff!

1. I'd have to say the MCI/Verizon Center when it was new and had all the activities. Like a small ESPN zone.
2. Carolina @ Washington. Caps took it 7-0
3. A good mixture of Offensive/Defensive D-men will take you a long way with a good goalie and decent offense.
4.One. Bondra against Roy and the Avalanche at Washington.
5. Where someone actually made the shot from center ice into the tiny hole and won a car.

1. Shark Tank. HP Pavillion, San Jose, CA
2. There's been a couple. I think I went to a game where it ping-ponged till it was like 6-5.
3. Hell no! Let me tell you, the Sharks have sat back too many times after scoring early and it cost them the playoffs last year!
4. I think I saw all the Sharks hat tricks at home last year. There was one by Clowe, Guerin and Cheechoo. There might be more but I can't remember at the moment. I even saw the Gordie Howe Hat Trick by Ehrhoff! I just remember thinking how odd it was when he threw off the gloves...
5. Watching the little pee-wee sized kids play against each other is always entertaining. I always make sure to stay in for those intermissions.
Oh yeah you can't forget the 9-4 game against Detroit last year. I wasn't there but, boy did I wish I was.
