I think the bottom line is, who is the enemy and who are the american allies?
Are their differences, sure, iraq has a lot of oil don't it, cheap oil,
outside of that sand as opposed to jungle.
So, oil means money, no allies, and i have no idea who the enemy is except my brothers and sisters in arms in the military are getting shot at

Hey, "here to help" what about the rest of the war when we were losing 100 per day at times. My my how short sighted you are. We were advisors, yeah right, at that time.
Oh and by the way Vietnam was winnable, and so is Iraq! Hey Americans heres an idea Support our troops by encouraging them and not railing on them!

Mr. Bush just made the compassion yesterday. Both wars were unnecessary cost of human lives and trillions of dollars. Old saying politicians make wars and soldiers fight wars.

The only comparison is that they were both huge US foreign policy mistakes and the biggest crime to both Vietnam and Iraq is that we knew they were mistakes almost from the beginning.

Both wars were unnecessary, ill-timed, poorly planned, and botched in their execution. Both wars demonstrated the inability of our generals to adapt their strategy and tactics to combat against civilian/guerillas, and in both wars the government treated our forces as expendable, showering them with hollow platitudes while repeatedly putting them in untenable situations, then denying them proper medical and other benefits when they returned. In both instances, the American people grew weary of excuses for incompetent civilian and military leadership. Finally, both wars damaged our international reputation as the champion of the oppressed, the underdog, and the just.

Both are wars that are unwinnable. Both are wars we shouldn't have gotten involved in to begin with. Both are wars that the administration can't figure a way out of.
Why do Republicans think a good war is one that lasts a long, long time?

Both were/are being lost not by the enemy on the battlefield but by the enemy at home. The Peaceniks refuse to untie the hands of the military and let them do the job they were trained to do.

The war is not unwinnable, unless the American people (and the liberal media) defeat us at home, like (wait for it) Vietnam.
Personally, I believe there is too much of a lack of carpet bombing to win this war.
