I've always been bothered when people just choose those names because they go with everything (no offense if those are family names...that's okay). Who else thinks middle names should have more purpose? opinions...

i don't dislike those names or anything, but i feel like everyone has them as their middle names! including my sister but it's after my great-grandma. mine middle name is morgan, which i like

I keep telling people to pick middle names that mean something. I have Marie as a middle name. Totally meaningless. When I get married, I plan to change it to Mayte after my great-Aunt Mayte (nickname for Mary Therese). She died when I was 4, but I still make all the wonderful recipes she left.

particular, particular, particular. Marie and Lynn and Ann are all extremely ordinary. i understand a handful of people with each and each as a center call. a minimum of 6 Anns, a minimum of 5 Maries, and a minimum of 5 Lynns

My name is Sarah Elizabeth. My middle name isn't a family name, but 32 years ago my father decided to make it one. I think it's a pretty name, but then... I'm partial.

My middle name is Catherine Ann and I am named after both my grandmas. my middle name is my mom's mother's middle name, but she uses it as her first.

I could care less.
Although I do get annoyed for women who took their husbands last names, for caring so much on putting the first name with the current last name, if they expect their daughter to do the same, she wont have that her whole life anyway.

I agree. But you forgot to add "Lynn" lol. I don't like wacky names, but people could come up with SOMETHING else.
