There was the Washington Sniper, who caused a lot of terror. The two guys were eventually caught and found not to be terrorists.
There was the east coast blackout, claimed by Osama to be an attack but the US government said it wasn't. There were also blackouts in London and Italy in the next two months, and 2 years later in LA a day after a taped warning mentioned LA. That one was officially blamed on a power worker. You might suspect a cover up here, if you are going to suspect a cover up. All you have to do is choose to believe the terrorist story over the official story.
There were some guys arrested for planning attacks, here and in Britain. One plot was to blow up planes flying from London to here. There was also the shoe bomber.
There is no successful attack in the US since 9/11 that is recognized as one by everyone.

None, but there are a heck of a lot of attacks on US soldiers in Iraq right now. Al Qaeda and Hezbollah both, according to intelligence agencies and Homeland Security have sleeper cells that can become operational at any given time, which means that it appears Al Qaeda and Hezbollah have both gotten terrorists into the US. Recently also, whether it is purely propaganda or not, Al Qaeda had a video released that said "wait for the big suprise". I hope that is purely for propaganda use, because it would be tragic if there were another attack in the US.

A totally wrong conception. Undercover infiltration of the USA goes on every day. Right under the noses of the FBI, CIA, the military and every other US Agency pledged to find them.
Its not necessary to act in the manner of 9/11.
Quietly going in, setting up, making contacts, building networks, monitoring whatever, collecting and analysing date, integrating themselves in the most unlikely places, blackmailing citizens (acts of discretion terrorists will dig up and use) and a host of other acts too numerous to include here!
As long as Americans think in the manner they do - your giving them the best protection they have - to firmly and strongly establish themselves

No successful terror attacks, but several attempts, in the US. I remember a young man who blew himself up (on purpose or by accident) after being denied entrance to a crowded stadium. He wouldn't open his backpack for the authorities.
There was somebody shot and killed at LAX, but it didn't seem to qualify as terrorism.
There was the foiled attacks on Fort Dix and La Guardia (I mean foiled before they started). There have been a lot of scares and threats, amounting to nothing in the end.
But no successful terrorist actions in the US since then.
