Should men work for it?

I dated a guy who apparently took me for granted. after a month apart he claimed he texted me by mistake but took the opportunity to invite me out for coffee. I admit i was excited. but i told him i'm going to be busy for the next two weeks i have family over which is true. i know i could have made some time for him but i feel he has to work for it if he wants to be in my life in any way. he really messed up and now he claims he misses me. i said i don't think is a good idea he claims is just a friend inquiring about a friend. we dated for three months and is good to feel i left an impression. what do you think? if he is interested he should be able to wait, right? is only two weeks. it did not work out because he drank and drove, danced disrespectfully with other ladies being with me. when i told him my concern he said i was controlling. i can observe his behavior as a friend and see if he really changed IF he asks me to be with him again. what do you thin

Very smart! Yes give him heck, better that way, make him jump thru those hoops, had he been a great guy to began with it wouldn't be this way. Besides he doesn't seem geniune enough to be the type of person to care about a friend, if he didn't care any better when you were together. So yea try and breck him, make him work HARD for it, maybe thats what his parents forgot to do.....
