It seems to be a vicious cycle. It also seems like we are just creating more and more resentment towards the West, which was really a big part of the Jihad's beef with the US and the West in the first place. Our involvment just seems so counter-productive.

islam is a system of government

in one of its doctrine is that of eternal life...which basically says that the god they worship is not really interested in them, and if they die fighting, they have a better chance at eternity

most of them, by their own teaching, and all of them by the bible teaching, go to hell

they would die even if they thought they would not exist, it is a sad thing for them

I wish I had more hope but it is a religion that makes slaves of those who are faithful to it

Your argument doesn't follow. If a big part of Islam's beef with us was their resentment toward us to begin with then how can our involvement in Iraq make things any worse?

And, yes, we are creating more martyrs in Iraq and most of those are dead ones. Remember, there's no martyr like a dead martyr.

Oh yeah, one more thing, Remember the embassies in Africa, the USS Cole, the Marine barracks, the first Twin Tower attack. I don't recall us being in Iraq at the time.

Stop following the main stream media line and think a little bit for yourself. Wake up.

Sure we are creating more martyrs. The more martyrs we create by blowing them up with smart bombs in their safe houses, the fewer martyrs there are to blow themselves up in pizza parlors, crash their planes into buildings, ect.

We could wring our hands and say its all our fault our mistakes in the past have created the situation we now are forced to deal with. Which may be true, but that doesn't change the present. At present we have people that intend to kill us. We can leave them alone a give them safe haven to plot and plan future attacks to kill us. Or we can send our soldiers to attack them, disrupt their plans, and undermine their will to continue the fight. It's a pretty easy choice for me, kill them first.

There are so many different ways you could look at our involvement in the middle east. We were attacked on September 11th before we really seriously got involved in the middle east. So to break it down... They were gunning for America either way. I think it would be better to give them the holy war they want over on their land then on ours. Let's just hope that there are no more terrorist attacks on our soil.

Seriously, if a dead terrorist is a martyr, then I really don't see any problem with creating as many as we can.

No, because they've killed more Iraqi citizes in their path to martyrdom than any US, UK or coalition troops. If we DON'T kill them, we're just giving them a license to kill whoever they want.
