Libs are always trying to save us from ourselves. Lets look @ a few things the succeeded in changing. Pull tabs on cans, I never swallowed one. Leaded paint, I never ate the chips when I was a kid and now instead of painting every 20 years I have to do it every 3-5. (Paint companies are probably behind this one). Alar - my apples are not as glossy as they used to be. I did however survive all of them. On a differnt note, tuna does not taste as good as it did before it became dolphin safe. If dolphins are so smart they would learn not to swim by the yellow fin tuna.

Going hand-in-glove with what you have said here
is an interview that ran on the Today Show a couple of days ago -- where a medical expert was saying that a lot of this -- "condom" style of life we are leading -- where we are being "protected" from absolutely everything -- is leading to children that have very low tolerence to infections and diseases because they have not gone through a normal process of fighting the minor infections and sicknesses that usually come in a regular lifestyle !!
Odd to be witnessing -- but all of this "super safe" life we have been forced into -- is coming back around full circle to kick us in the butt !!!!

When I was growing up, I drank UNpasteurized milk until I was ten years old.
I enjoyed Xraying my feet in with the Xray machine in the shoe stores.
Until I was eighteen years old, the only immunization I ever had ( or anybody else ever had) was for smallpox.
I still have both my eyes after a lot of BB gun battles.
My cousin and I used to play "chicken" on railroad tracks.
We rode many hundreds (probably thousands) of miles on our bicycles without wearing helmets.
We ate lots of swordfish even though it was supposed to contain lethal levels of mercury.
Oh, yes, we enjoyed breaking thermometers just so we could "experiment" with the mercury in them.
We never had kids with ADD or ADHD or dylexia or learning disabilities, either. All we had were smart kids and dumb kids; good kids and bad kids. (I was in the smart kid and also the bad kid categories--that wasn't supposed to happen)
A couple high school buddies and I used to dig foxholes and take pot shots at each other with 22 rifles.
I am now 71 years old and still paint the rooms in my house every couple years--with latex paint, of course.

I survived and fully agree with you ----
raising children is hard but all of us are alright and we don't have things wrong with us ---- hello??
and if people are so worried about kids eating lead paint ---- let me ask this ---- why are you letting your child eat the woodwork or paint in the first place???!!
when did dolphins start to become extinct????
why do we put so many pesticides on food to stop insects --- we are ruining some ecosystem doing that!!!!

also forgot about kissing your girlfriend when you are a teenager ---- spreads menegitis!!!!
tap water is filled with little insects that we can't see but it wasn't when we were kids????

(Canned) Tuna is general is one of the worst products to buy. Most of it is caught by trawling and for every one tuna fish caught there is at least 5 other things brought up from the ocean including fish, crabs, and other things that are harmfully discarded.

Maybe you have survived, but if your parents didn't improve products around before you came to be, you'd probably not have been so lucky. Aren't you happy for vaccines and other things that help us?

Still alive. Honestly, I think the more dangerous stuff, like tin toys, etc. were good for kids--it taught them to be careful, and weeded out the gene pool.
As for tuna, though--well, I kind of like dolphins.

Don't forget riding your bike without helmets, or sharing a single glass to drink water from the tap.
