I never go to the doctor. Most problems go away if you wait long enough.

I'm a modifier. I have sinus problems, and when I get sick with one of those I follow the doctor's orders to a T. Then when I go for a physical, and I'm feeling pretty good, and the doc wants me to take cholesterol medicine when my cholesterol is borderline, and take a test for bone density, and this and that, I haven't bought into those yet and I'll probably be sorry. Some of the new medicines I see on TV or in magazines and the side affects go on and on and they sound worse than the illness, I just say, "No thanks."

I'm a modifier, for sure. But I have a terrible time not letting 'em in on it so I always spill the beans and usually they thank me for being honest and tell me to keep on doing what I'm doing....

Don't know about you but we pay good money to visit the doctor.

I can't see a lot of point in going to someone who is regarded as knowing their stuff (for something you can't fix) and paying them for it, then not following their advice.

So almost always when going to the doctor I follow their advice to the letter.

I'm a nurse, so I modify his orders using my medical knowledge and common sense.

I don't go to a doctor.

The last time I went to a doctor, the conversation went like this:

Me: Am I gonna die?
Doc: not today, but eventually
Me: Good! then we understand each other.

depends on the situation or illness. If it is serious and my future well-being depends on it, I follow as closely as I can, if not, I use my own instincts to do what I need to do as far as advice and restrictions.

I definetly modify it! When he tells me to drink these pills with orange juice, I'll drink it quickly with water!
