i have never seen it, i always see cops go into fast food restaurants and dine in there, but never at the drive thru. so i wonder if anyone out there has seen it happen? what fast food restaurant was it and what did the cop look like?
also another question, have you ever seen a cop pull someone over while they were in the middle of a drive thru line at a fast food restaurant? did the cop have to wait for everyone to finish ordering?

It happens quite frequently at Taco Bell. We have EMS, Highway patrol officers, Probation officers, and police officers both come in and eat as well as go through the drive-thru. It's not that strange - they have to eat too! And not all of them have time to come in and sit down and eat. The officers around here mostly stay at the Waffle House or the Chik-fil-a though.

Yes, I have seen a couple cops go through drive through IF there isn't a long line of cars. They are on duty and can't sit in a fast food lane for long. I've also seen a cop walk into the joint. And seen plenty of them in restaurants as well. n

I have seen a cop at a drive-thru. It wasn't fast food, but they were at the Starbucks drive-thru. They didn't have to pull anyone over or anything, but it was early and the cop looked very tired.

I know the answer to this! I can tell you WHY!! Most restaurants offer the police a discount, like a percentage off or a free drink or something....almost every food place I've ever worked at did that.....
I once asked a cop who came in frequently why he never came through the drive through. He said it was because it was just easier - you could SEE him in uniform and he didn't like having to talk to the box.
Made sense to me, anyway. :)

Cops, just like your everyday human, only in uniform with a special car!
Believe it or not, I've seen cops eat at restaurants, drive thru's, local shops, not-so-local shops. I've seen cops use public restrooms, take food home they didn't finish, hang out in a mall, ive seen them walking, running, slowly strolling, i mean honestly THIS IS CRAZYY!!!

I did just the other day my boyfriend and I were gettin McDonald's and the cops around here are so lax about stuff anyways they always use the drive-thru..

Yeah ive seen them hit drive-thru quite a few times... some are fat some arent. They are humans too after all...

I do not work in a drive through but i'm guessing that yes they would have to give you a straw to drink your drink with....
