If you mean actually turned straight? No, it doesn't happen. Bisexuals can choose, but not gay people -- or straight people. Gone back into the closet and pretended they were straight? Sure, the idea is pushed by extremist religions -- which use shame and fear to force people back into the closet. As such people keep getting discovered having sex with same gendered persons and admit to never changing their feelings, only their actions -- then they surely haven't become straight, they are still homosexual -- but they hate themselves nicely and are in the closet, again.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

PS What Mr. Jello will not tell you is that his daughter was a younger teenager when she said she was gay -- and he spoke strongly against it and refused to accept it -- I say, in 20 years, check back in his and his daughter's case.

What's with all the gay questions? I can never even understand why orientation ever comes up, it's nobody's business and rarely something real people are ever honest about. Even with themselves.
I can say I've seen more people turned gay as an obvious and direct result of sexual abuse at a young age right down to liking acts similar or related to what happened to them as kids. Regardless of the possibility that people are born with an orientation or if it is a product of environment of abuse or all of the above (or more?) it seems certain that there's no rule, one way or the other.

I've been gay as far back as I can remember, though I didn't really know what is was back then. In my early 20's I did get married because it is was was expected of me and I expected it of myself. The girl I married was wonderful! We had a great "friendship" that I thought was the basis for a good marriage. However, we did NOT have sex until AFTER we were married. (We dated on and off for 7 years total.) To make a long story short, it ruined 2 lives and put 2 families in a turmoil. Not to mention what happened when she told everyone she met why we divorced a year later. If one is truly gay or lesbian, then THAT is WHO they are. ;-)

Hi,
I have a good friend who's as camp as a candlabera on a feather boea, but he got married and had a child. he gets "very angry" at rumours that he is in fact gay. He's straight, it's his story and he's sticking to it!
I think the urge to have children can confuse gay people, men and women, but how long they'll keep it up for is anyones guess. Look at Michelle Shocked. She was the architypal lesbian but I now hear she's married with a child.

My ex is one of the example.
He told me that he turned straight suddenly. HOwever, not due to the feeling matter. The only reason for him to do that is because he wants to develop career in political field. He said politics cannot accept homosexual.
WHen he told me that, i really don't know what should i say.
We lost contact now but i know that he's married and seems have a happy life.

I think that for a gay person to turn straight, they weren't really gay. They thought they were gay but they were confused about their sexuality and decided that being straight was better. so to speak. he made up his mind.

My stepdaughter was gay for about 6 years before she gave up that lifestyle.
Anne Heche was engaged to Ellen until she dropped her and married a guy.
Yes, it happens. It happens all the time. It's what people choose, not something predisposition by your birth.
