I was smart and a bad student. I was so far from "cool" that I didn't even see the point in being "cool". Still don't.
I have some cool people that work for me now, though. I think that's pretty cool.

Being smart and a good student doesn't mean I won't make friends. Somebody who is supposedly "cool" and failing out of college isn't cool at all!

If I were cool and a bad student, I would be held in high esteem by a bunch of bozos, and find, to my dismay, that I had wasted my time in school.
The answer seems obvious.
But then, there's President George W. Bush.
So maybe I'd prefer to be cool, a bad student, and a rich man's son.
But I'm still not seeing it . . .

Smart and a good student. Once you get to college no one gives a crap if you're "cool" or not. You're more respected if you're smart.
